Teaming with TIAX

Our staff has decades of experience working with government agencies, previously as the Technology & Innovation business of Arthur D. Little, Inc., and now as independently owned TIAX LLC. Increasingly, government procurement strategies favor or require teaming among contractors to be fully responsive to the government's needs. TIAX has evolved with this trend and participates across the full range of prime and subcontractor roles. Our small business status is a point of leverage. We regularly collaborate with industrial organizations that have limited government experience.

Teaming Scenarios

  • TIAX as Prime: TIAX is a formidable prime contractor in our technology focus areas. We have earned strong, favorable reputations in parts of DOD, DOE, DOT, CEC, and several, more specialized federal agencies. Our track record of successfully completed contracts and the resulting positive relationships with the program offices regularly translate into new and repeat business. The experience of our staff under Arthur D. Little gives us the experience and sophistication of a large company. At the same time our small business status enables us to bring technological innovation to the government under the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. Our government contracting office deals effectively and efficiently with peers within our subcontractors and the government.

  • TIAX as Subcontractor: TIAX offers prime contractors strong technical and programmatic skills, innovative approaches to difficult technical problems, responsiveness, and deep commitment to program deliverables. Ideally, we play a significant role in the proposal process, helping the prime differentiate its offering to the government. We are of particular help to manufacturing-focused companies in need of advanced technology as part of their win strategy. We are team players who clearly understand the role of the subcontractor. In addition, our small business status helps larger companies implement the small business plan that is frequently a part of major procurements.

  • Linking Industry and Government: We have found that working at the interface of industry and government has extraordinary benefits for both industry and government. We help industrial partners with limited government experience overcome the threshold of government procedures. By doing so, these industrial partners gain access to programs that support the advancement of technologies that benefit them, as well as the nation. At the same time, the government can often accomplish its goals more efficiently by collaborations involving industry. Our strategic imperative is to maintain a balance of government and industrial work that enables us to achieve these outcomes.
